at the Southern most tip of Africa and only a 2 hour drive from Cape Town

Whether you are backpacking in and around Cape Town, or visiting the garden route and Knysna, Green’s Accommodation is a nice stop over for overnighters, backpackers, weekenders and holidaymakers staying overnight, for a weekend and for longer periods.

Though we are not the traditional backpacker accommodation, our tariffs are affordable and our facilities are suitable for backpackers as it is situated close to the Southernmost Tip of Africa.

We welcome travellers of all ages and we have a variety of units to choose from.  Each unit has it’s own lounge with DSTV, fully equipped kitchen, shower and braai facility.  Laundry facilities are available.

Houses/units are offered separately and therefore are not shared with other groups/guests.

Seagulls Nest
Seagulls Nest is centrally situated and only a 2 minute walk to the main beach, harbour and shops. There are three unites available:

Ground Floor Flat sleeping 4 people
Ground Floor Unit sleeping 6 people
Top Floor Unit sleeping 7 people

Seagulls Seasong
Seagulls Seasong is a very short walk from the beach and the main harbour, offering you the beach on your doorstep. The house is very spacious and offers:

4 Bedrooms – one of which is an outside rustic room. The house sleeps 8 people.

Southermost Tip of Africa

Where two oceans collide in a wild display of tumultuous currents and jagged rocky edges you will find the southernmost tip of Africa.

Cape Agulhas Lighthouse

You can find the candy-striped Cape Agulhas Lighthouse at the southernmost tip of Africa between L’Agulhas town and the Agulhas National Park.


Filled with busy fishing boats, the quaint harbour is a must-see. Pleasure rides and angling cruises depart from the harbour. Ski boats also launch from here.


Struisbaai hosts several angling competitions annually like the Two Oceans Marlin Tournament, 5 Species Competition and Yellowtail Bonanza.

Tidal Pools and swimming

You can swim in the ocean or in one of the historical tidal pools. There are also numerous surfing spots.


Struisbaai is home to a 14km stretch of pure white sandy beaches and azure blue seas. During the holidays there is a contagious vibrant atmosphere.


Struisbaai offers safe swimming and a variety of extremely popular watersports.

Spookdraai Hiking Trail

A tricky little rocky beach section, followed by gravel and a short dash across the main road leads you to the start of a 2.6km single track section up and over the mountain.

The Flora (fynbos)

The Cape Floral Region, Situated at the tip of Africa, this majestic floral kingdom is the only to be fully contained within a single country.

Nature Reserves

De Hoop Nature and Marine Reserve, De Mond Nature Reserve and Heuningberg Nature Reserve are all in the area.

Whale Watching

Breaching, lobtailing, spyhopping and sailing are some of the Whale antics you will see from July to December.


The stretch of coast around the southernmost tip of Africa is known as the “Graveyard of Ships”. Experience some of the history.


Get your picture taken and experience fishing in action as the fishermen launch their Chuck boats every day.


Capture breathtaking sunsets from the beach, in the harbour or while watching the sunset from behind a shipwreck.
